Why Can't Other "Enthusiast" Products Be Like This?

Outside of RedBull's magnificent furniture/art offerings which we talked about here, most other racing enthusiast merchandise is (if we're going to be honest with ourselves) pretty much crap.   Even the "nice" stuff is usually sourced out to the cheapest bidder and if it doesn't fall apart in a couple of weeks, you're lucky.

In comes Aston Martin with some enthusiast furniture.   I didn't think I was going to care about this much when I saw the headline...    And then I saw this

People, really, that is outstanding design.  Not only does it look sleek and cool, capturing the feel of a smooth aerodynamic shape, it's subtle.  Yes, there is an Aston Martin badge on the front, but it's not some huge horse with an attitude problem.  Now I have no idea how comfortable this is but it looks very clean.

The lounger however wants to show you all kinds of comfy relaxations.
There's no indication of price but I'm sure it falls under the "If you have to ask, you don't want to know" category.  It's too bad they don't sell these on Amazon, we could fund our entire trip to Austin if you bought one by clicking through the search box on the right.

Unfortunately these are the rare exceptions.   Don't believe me?  Check out the Lamborghini furniture on the same site.  It's like The Borg assimilated an upholstery factory.

For No Reason...

other than it is R2D2, this image qualifies for a spot on our spotty little blog.

Kitty is a bonus.
